We have LOTS of naturally dropped & molted wing, tail, & body feathers available from a wide variety of pure species & hybrid Macaws for sale year round. Our beautiful feathers are a great resource for artists, native crafting or just to frame and display!
Some of our customers have used our beautiful CaraParrot feathers for Indian & Tribal headdresses, crafts & ornamentation, clothing, jewelry, hand-made framed fishing fly-ties, and even a teacher bought some to use use in her teaching of Microbiology!
The pictures in the above slideshow of the beautiful headdresses are compliments of one of my customers from Los Angeles. Jorge is VERY talented craftsmen who works at University of Long Beach & makes the gorgeous outfits by hand for himself & his family as they dance all over for ceremonies as well as educational cultural events in the native traditional way of the Purehpecha of Michoacan, Mexico. Jorge tells me that, "Macaw feathers are very special to our people and we carry them with honor and do our best to honor the birds that allow us to wear them. All the feathers that my family and I have, have been obtained in a good way so that all our feathers are dropped and not plucked therefore honoring the birds and giving us good energy when we dance."
